Matthew’s career started in London with HSBC bank in 1996.
Having quickly progressed into assisting Private Clients with their financial investments and after obtaining various qualifications in financial services including FPC, CeFA and CeMAP, Matthew enjoyed eight fulfilling years in the financial services industry.
Matthew decided to enter the world of Estate Agency in 2004, working within both senior management as well as financial services rolls for a large corporate estate agency chain.

Matthew moved to Manchester in 2006 and quickly fell in love with the cities diversity and ever changing skyline.
After getting married in 2008 Matthew founded Goodwin Fish along with his colleagues and close friends Simon and Alessandro.

When away from his desk, Matthew has a hectic life with his young family as well as the theatre school he co owns with his wife Victoria.

Matthew believes that the measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

It began in 2003 when Alessandro joined the team at one of Manchester’s more successful independent Estate Agents, Thornley Groves.
This insight into how the property market operated gave him the thirst and enthusiasm to speedily climb up the Management hierarchy.
Armed with tenacity and the necessary experience he joined Matthew and Simon on the journey to develop a market leading Estate Agent in one of the U.K.’s most exciting environments.

A keen outdoor pursuit enthusiast means you are more than likely to find Alessandro climbing mountains in a bid to find that perfect work/life balance.
Along with his love for what Mother Nature created he is an avid fan of Paying It Forward and believes that life is no audition, so enjoy it.
